After 20 months and 80 posts, we have made the difficult decision to end Braddock Buzz. While the newsletter has been an extremely fulfilling pursuit, it has become increasingly difficult to balance it with our day jobs.
It has been an absolute joy producing Braddock Buzz, which has given us the opportunity to learn more about our community and interview dozens of interesting people whom we wouldn’t have met otherwise.
Thank you to the 1,245 subscribers who have sustained this newsletter and provided feedback and encouragement.
Thank you, as well, to the sponsors whose financial support made Braddock Buzz possible: realtor Jennifer Mack and Susan King Glosby of WorkAway Solutions.
Jennifer was with us from nearly the beginning and was much more than just an advertiser. Her column was full of exciting insights that our readers looked forward to each week. For those who want to continue receiving Jennifer’s take on real estate issues and market trends, you can sign up here for her monthly newsletter.
If you want to keep up with WorkAway Solutions, you can follow the company on its website, Facebook, and Instagram.
We’d also like to plug several local news sources that we are indebted to for providing such great material that we often rounded up in Braddock Buzz:
Ellie Ashford does an incredible job reporting on hyper-local news in the Annandale Blog, which is truly a community treasure.
FFX Now is a great resource for anyone keeping up with news about the county.
Hannah Natanson does a stellar job reporting on Northern Virginia schools for The Washington Post. You can follow her on the Post’s website or on Twitter.
Braddock District Supervisor James Walkinshaw puts out a regular newsletter with important information about the county government and other issues affecting our community. You can subscribe here.
As for the two of us, you can continue to reach us at BraddockBuzz@gmail.com
All the best,
Leanne & Austin Wright
